So...the boys started soccer! YEAH! Well, you might THINK yeah, but that isn't the word to describe how the boys feel about it. NOT their favorite! Silly boys. I know that it's just the first time that we have put them into anything and whatnot, but MAN! They HATE it! Seriously! The first week, we thought that they would be SO excited! We got them all geared up (we only had 1 pair of shinguards to start the season) and thought that they would be so excited to get going...nope. The soccer place that they are with does it kind of fun. They don't really have games. They get them together and kind of do just practice stuff for the first little while, then if they feel that they are ready, they will do a little bit of scrimmage- just against each other. Before they even get together to do any sort of practice, the whole field (11 teams) all get together and everyone stretches out and warms up a little bit. Payton did NOT think this was the best idea! Lincoln didn't do too bad when it came to his time- but he would have preferred that either Cole or I was with him the whole time. That's all well and good, but when it comes time to play and have fun and kick the ball around and whatnot- neither of the little cutie pies would have ANYTHING to do with it! So silly. We are now past our 4th week and Payton still isn't that much into it. Lincoln actually does a really great job- except for when someone takes the ball from him, or bumps him or anything. He certainly doesn't think THAT is very nice! So, there is a bit of crying, alot of whining, a few times when we'll look on the field and either boys are pulling out their "Jango Fett Guns" ( we're real into Star Wars at the moment) and a few other mishaps, but we're just excited to get into soccer! We know that it's going to get way hectic and everything what with all the games being at different times and such, but Cole and I are SERIOUSLY looking forward to going to games and watching our kiddos do well and/or not so well at times as well! :) A photo documentary of the first day!

| The P-Man...biting his Fingernails the WHOLE TIME! Where does he GET that from?! (wink wink) |
| When asked to turn and look at the camera- this is what we received. Payton is a "Green Frog" in the Grasshopper age group! SO CUTE! |
| Dad and Coach Derek trying to talk Payton into ANYTHING! He would NOT be swayed! |
| Warm up time! Such a sad face! |
| I don't know if you can see him in the middle of the photo there, but he is the one covering his ears so that he doesn't have to hear what those that are trying desperately to get him to warm up are saying. Quite the 'tude! |
| Much happier on Mom's lap! |
| Lincoln alright with the whole thing for the first few minutes. |
| Link is also a "Green Frog" but he is in the Munchkins age group. They love to be Green Frogs! |
| Best time of soccer...Snack Time! :) |
| Said he couldn't find his ball- oops! Right there behind ya buddy! |
| Doin the toe taps between feet- in definite slow motion! |
| Sulking a little bit because he can't get around those silly cones fast enough! What a ham! |
| Morgs just went around schmoozing everyone and everything! She's a BUSY one now that she can walk! Yikes! |
I sound pretty negative reading back through this post. BUT, it has been a rather hard experience. SO much fun to get them into it- but hopefully the attitudes will change just a smidge and we'll be able to get into it full swing! Cole said that if they don't want to do soccer- he can always sign them up for tap class! Such a sarcastic dude. We'll get there...I'm not worried!
